Vacuum Casting Services

Silicone-mould polyurethane casting for 10–100 high-fidelity functional prototypes and low-volume production parts.

Vacuum Casting

Production-Like Parts Without Hard Tooling

Vacuum casting reproduces the detail of a master pattern in production-grade polyurethane resins — ideal for functional testing, market validation and bridge production before committing to injection-mould tooling. Achieve fine textures, over-moulding and a wide Shore-hardness range.

  • 10–100 parts per silicone mould
  • Wide range of PU resins & Shore hardness
  • Rubber-like, ABS-like & PC-like materials
  • Colour matching & clear/transparent parts
  • Over-moulding & insert moulding
  • Fine surface texture & detail

FAQ

Vacuum Casting Questions

How many parts can one mould produce?
A single silicone mould typically yields 15–25 high-quality parts before wear affects detail. For larger runs we cast multiple moulds from the same master to keep parts consistent.
How close is it to injection moulding?
Very close in appearance and feel — it's the fastest way to get production-look parts before committing to steel tooling. Mechanical properties are similar but not identical to injection-moulded thermoplastics.
Can you match a specific colour or transparency?
Yes. We match Pantone/RAL colours via in-mould pigment or spray paint, and offer clear PC-like resin that can be polished or tinted for transparent parts.
What tolerances should I expect?
Typical tolerance is ±0.15 mm or ±0.3% of the nominal dimension (whichever is greater), influenced by part geometry and shrinkage of the chosen resin.
